8 BASIC BUILDING BLOCKS of Network Marketing – PATHMAN SENATHERAJAH
Many people presume they know a lot about Network Marketing and read lots of book without consulting people. In my experience, I realize that there is no need for a Networker to understand anything first beyond the basic foundation of Network Marketing before they get started. The 8 Basic Building Blocks (BBB) is something so easily Duplicated - the first rule of Network Marketing. Sit with your new sign-ups and downlines and work out the 8BBB with each of them One-on-One.
BBB 1 – THE DREAM: What is your Compelling Reason, Vision and your Dream? Without is being very clear in your mind, I almost can guarantee that you will fail in this business. The foundation of your entry into this business is your dream. Your dream is something you desire so badly that you are willing to pay any price to achieve it. This is very crucial because you cannot start something without knowing where you are going. Write down your dreams NOW! Never talk about things if you are not willing to write it down because by so doing, you will never forget. Your dream makes you realize that there is something out there you want to achieve and there is something keeping you alive. Your dream is your motivating factor that will push you to success in this business. ‘If Your Dream Is Big Enough, The Facts Don’t Count’
BBB 2 – COMMITMENT: Means making a decision and stick by it no matter what. The beauty of Network Marketing is time flexibility but the amount of time and effort you put in determines your results. How many hours per day do you want to commit to doing this business to be able to achieve your dreams? Ask your new sign-ups this question so that you can know the amount of effort and attention to focus on each one of them. The higher his/her commitment, the more your attention to him/her should be and vice versa. Don’t over push those with low commitment but don’t give up on them, keep working on them and gradually their commitment level will also grow. Also you must make a commitment to yourself to grow in this business by attending events & trainings, listening to CDs and reading books. Training is part of Power of Association – surrounding yourself with the right people.
BBB 3 – NAME LIST: This is the most important thing Networker needs to do. If you don’t have a name list, your chances of succeeding in this business is very low. The mental process of writing down each name and phone number is crucial to your growth in Network Marketing. Research says an average person knows above 200people, so write a name list of a minimum of 200 people. Don’t prejudge anyone – that’s the biggest disease in Network Marketing. Your name list should include everybody and anybody you know. Write the Cold, Warm and Hot list.
BBB 4 – THE ACT OF INVITATION & PROSPECTING: Don’t share too many information on the phone when you call to invite a prospect. There is Non-Professional invitation – Invitation for your warm/hot name list and Professional Invitation – the invitation for your cold name list. Don’t panic, don’t get scared of inviting. For any invitation, you need to have and always maintain a good posture. Who needs who more? Your prospects need you more than you need them. This is YOU - Good Looking, Good Smiles, and Confident with a fantastic unbelievable business opportunity. Your invitation should be done short and sweet. Your name list should not remain stagnant; it must increase by 10% every month. You do that by Prospecting – going out to find new people to put on your name list. Don’t underestimate, anyone you meet could be the most powerful and strongest leader in your team. He/she could open a brand new market for you.
BBB 5 – SHOWING THE PLAN: Don’t be afraid of presentation. No presentation is wrong or right. It’s like a rubber band, you can stretch it anyhow, just make sure you don’t break it. Your presentation should include: Company Profile, Products, Compensation Plan and Projections. The most effective is the One-on-One presentation. Your first five presentations should be done for you by your Upline while you sit down, watch, observe and learn. Edify your Upline to your prospect properly before you take your prospect to him/her. Edification is for the business not the personality. If you want to show the plan; 1| Choose the right Environment. 2| Don’t wine and dine with your prospects. This will cost you a lot of money and it’s not duplicable. 3| Dress smart, casual or professional. Dress, Walk and Talk like a Millionaire. 4| Be Punctual even if your prospect is not. 5| Prospects will always want to ask you questions. Always say: ‘Please hold your questions till the end of the presentation’. 6| For One-on-One presentations, only use a paper and a pen. Why? Because it’s cheap and duplicable. 7| Show at least 15 plans a month consistently. 8| Your presentation should be between 45 minutes to 1hour (max). Extend only if the prospect’s questions are intelligent. 9| Always maintain your posture, don’t be desperate. Public presentation is also very effective but home meetings are the most effective. After showing the plan, always tell your prospects not to talk to anyone about this business until when next you meet.
BBB 6 – FOLLOW THROUGH: Follow up your prospects within the next 24 to 48 hours after showing the plan. This is because people forget. So, strike when the iron is hot. Follow through allows you to handle objections properly. Use the 3Fs strategy for their objectives, saying something like; ‘I understand the way you FEEL, I FELT the same also but this is the wonderful thing that I FOUND out’. If your prospect says ‘No’, remember the 4SW – Some Will, Some Wont, So What? Some are Waiting. But Keep them In View so that you can always invite them if there is a major event by your company.
BBB 7 – COUNSEL UPLINE: This is very important and very crucial. As a New Person in Network Marketing, before you do anything, Counsel or Consult your Upline because this is a journey you have not travelled before so you need the guidance of someone who has and your Upline is the solution. Your working Upline is you life-line. Golden Rule – Bad News to your Upline, Only good news to your Downlines.
BBB 8 – DUPLICATE: Whatever you’ve learnt, whatever and all you know and do, teach your downlines to do the same ASAP. Duplication is the key to success in Network Marketing. The faster you duplicate, the faster your success. Now you have it! Here is the 8BBB of Network Marketing. You have to make a decision that you want to do it. Put your passion into everyday of your Network Marketing business. Give your 100% everyday and you will achieve your Dreams including Financial Freedom.
